The Funnel Cake Kiosk is a favorite of ours during the different festivals around EPCOT, as they always add a special dish to their menu. For the 2021 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, the booth decided to serve up both sweet and salty flavors by adding a s’mores funnel cake with bacon to their menu.

Luscious chocolate Romanian dessert a delectable treat now available in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR– Finding traditional Romanian foods wasn’t that difficult for Vlad Taralunga and his family when they came to the U.S. in 2003.

But one that eluded them was the Joffre, a chocolate buttermilk layer cake with a thick chocolate ganache filling that Taralunga describes as very rich without being too sweet. The cake’s heavy cream and lighter bottom cake layer makes it a delectable treat.

And now it’s a treat available to Michiganders via a collaboration between Taralunga and 24th Cheesecakerie chef Sean Brezzell.

While he is collaborating with the 24th Cheesecakerie, Taralunga said the Joffre is no cheesecake.
